Prototype performance tests

A complete life cycle assessment (LCA) was undertaken for EcoWaterHeater, benchmarked against an LCA for a comparable unit already on the market (W100).
The LCA was performed in line with the principles and procedures stated by the ISO 14040 series of standards, following current LCA practice and using SimaPro, a widely known LCA software tool. This assessment concluded that there is a modest improvement in the environmental performance of EcoWaterHeater, with the most significant contribution to the environmental impact coming from energy use during the operation of the DESWH.
